Judging Righteous Judgment

This message, a continuation of my exposition of John, deals with Christ’s defense of His practice of sabbath healing, and the healing of the lame man at the pool of Bethesda in particular.  Christ exposes the hypocrisy of His enemies by showing that they themselves circumcised a child on the sabbath day in order to keep the law, and therefore they should not object to Him performing such a work as healing a crippled man.  He urges them to judge not by the superficial appearance, but to take care to judge righteously, a warning which I seek to apply to our current day, and show that it is a duty of which every Christian ought to be conscious.
