Liberty Is Not For Wimps

It would be difficult for me to state too highly what an excellent article this is by the great black economist Walter Williams.  All too many Americans, poisoned by socialistic dogma, think that liberty includes getting something from somebody else.  In reality, true liberty allows people to make choices and suffer the consequences (with the exception, of course, of immoral or violent choices).  I was struck by Williams’ articulate defense of freedom of association, even on racial grounds.  No matter how distasteful modern Americans may find Williams’ contention, to promote anything less is to sacrifice liberty on the altar of political correctness.

If you have 5 minutes to spare, I urge everyone who encounters this blog to click on the link above and read Walter Williams’ fine article.  It could very well change your entire notion of what liberty actually is.
