Meat Indeed And Drink Indeed

This sermon was preached Wednesday, October 1st, and continued to dwell upon the blessed theme of eating the flesh and drinking the blood of Christ, which is our Lord’s lively figure of the actings and exercises of faith upon Himself.  I also touch at some length in this message upon the subject of union with Christ, from verse 56, where He says that those who eat Him dwell in Him, and He in them.  I attempt to draw the distinction between our legal union with Christ, which encompasses our justification before God, and the faith union to which Jesus is pointing us in the passage, wherein He dwells within us by His Holy Spirit, and we dwell in Him by faith.
