True, heart fellowship in apostolic doctrine and teaching leads us to the pinnacle of spiritual communion; namely, fellowship with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.  No higher privilege can be claimed by any human being.  It may be considered an honor to have communication with our senator or president.  But to enjoy spiritual union and communion with the God of heaven, through Christ the Mediator, is a matchless advantage enjoyed only by that select number ordained to eternal life before the foundation of the world.  This is the true aristocracy among men.  They are not privileged because of any good thing in themselves, but because God, long before they were born, predestinated them to the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace.  We have access to enter boldly into the presence of the Most High because of our union with Christ.  We may speak with the Saviour as our dear, intimate Friend and Protector, our sovereign King and gracious Priest.  We may humbly and reverently address the throne of the royal Father, knowing that He hears us because we gained acceptation through Christ.  His anger is laid aside, and He welcomes us into His presence, by virtue of our union with His dearly beloved, only begotten Son.  This fellowship with the very throne of God is the privilege of every believer in Christ, purchased for us by His priceless blood.
