The Bread of God

The Jews thought Jesus somehow inferior to Moses, because Moses had (or so they claimed) given their fathers manna in the wilderness.  They used this as an excuse not to believe Christ’s command to believe on Him.  But the Lord Jesus shows them that, not only was the manna a gift from God, not Moses, but that the true bread of God, for which all men ought to hunger, is He Himself, Who came down from heaven to give life unto the world.  This is my sermon from John 6:30-33, considering the obstinate unbelief of the Jews and Christ’s gracious preaching of the Gospel to them.
