As a Christian, you certainly ought to keep up with what is going on in the world. But you can ask yourself a question, the answer to which might explain the presence or absence of hope in your heart. How much time do I spend informing myself about the news of today, and how much time do I give to thinking about eternity? If I spend an hour with the newspaper and five minutes with the Bible, it isn’t surprising if the forces of darkness look twelve times as strong as the forces of light.
