The Weakness of the Law

The next sermon in my series on the Law of God seeks to show where the weakness in the law lies.  Paul states it as clearly as can be in Romans 8:3.  The law is weak “through the flesh.”  By this the apostle would have us understand that there is no weakness inherent in the law itself, but that it is defective as a means of salvation because of the sinfulness that has corrupted our flesh.  The answer to this great problem lies in God sending His Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and condemning our sin in His flesh.
